Toddler Moments

from the last week or so. I have big, sickeningly romantic news to write about here when I have time for a real entry, but for now? Cute toddler junk!

*"There's a buffalo on my head!" /Repeated for most of the hour-long drive between the new house and our current house, as she tried to balance her stuffed buffalo on her noggin.

*Me: "Sorry, K. The baby seat for the potty is at the other house already. There's no baby seat here."
K: [pats regular toilet seat] "No baby seat. Daddy seat!"

*K, upon waking up one morning: "Turkey Sandwich."
Me: "Is that what you want for breakfast? A turkey sandwich?"
K: "Turkey Sandwich . . . and chocolate."

  1. My 17 month old toddler has discovered the art of feigned innocence. Over the weekend she took all the photo albums off the bookshelf in our guestroom and had them strewn across the floor. When I went to pick them up she showed up in the doorway and in a surprised tone of voice she said, "OH NO!" And today my wife was feeding her breakfast (slice of toast with cream cheese and strawberry jam) she licked a gob of jam off the toast and let it fall off her tongue onto the floor looked down and gave my wife the same surprised, "Oh no!"

  2. But look at how cute she is! Surely she can't be both that devious and adorable, right?

    Darn babies.

  3. kids say the craziest things, huh?! Sometimes I wonder how those little brains work.....My son found the bowl of Halloween candy the other day. I made the mistake of giving him a few M&M's. So now he, like your daughter, thinks chocolate is a food group. Ugh!

To which my wife's response would be, "You mean, it's not?!"
